All About Me:
Hi! Thanks for visiting!
My hope is for this site to become a helpful tool for library/children’s programming ideas, literacy activities, and book recommendations. I have a middle grade and young adult review blog called Lost in the Library, I am also proud to be a contributing picture book reviewer to Bookalicious.org
I am excited to be offering workshops for professionals who work with children and families in a library daycare or other similar setting. I love the opportunity to present new ideas, meet new people and collaborate with others. Please see my workshop page for more information. I’d love to visit you!
My education background is as an Early Childhood Educator. I worked for a number of years in a childcare centre providing care and programming for children from preschool age to 12 before working in the library field. At the library, I’ve had the unique opportunity to combine my knowledge of child development with my passion for books.
The goal in each of my programs is to provide activities which are literacy based and fun. My hope, is to help children and their families develop a love of reading.
Though not a librarian on paper, in my heart I am. I have a passion for children’s literature (all ages) and a desire to inspire and share that with others.
